“Hey QZoo! Where, and HOW can I purchase Butterfly People? I have been chasing this album for 10 years!” (Jaygazer)
Hi Jay,
Yep, Butterfly Peepl hasn’t been widely available. This is due to a mixture of lack of record company support when it was originally release, subsequent laziness on my part, and the lack of credible music retail portals usable from SA. However, I am working on a plan so should have it up for sale within a week or two. Thanks for your patience and support.
That’s amazing news! MANY fans will be happy to hear it.
This is great news! I was wondering if I would ever get my hands on this CD. So excited!!!!

Woo! That is awesome. How about getting your content put on iTunes as well if possible? I know that The Child Inside used to be a single on there, and suddenly it’s gone?!
That makes me a sad panda. I’m glad I was able to buy it on CD when it came out so that I now have it on my iPod. I’ve been introducing a number of friends to it and they all agree you guys were ahead of the time with that first single.
Torn Between you and the sky though is my guilty pleasure. Such a beautiful song.
Do we have any news on a release date for “Butterfly Peepl”? I am eagerly looking forward to buying a copy of that one! Meanwhile, I’ll tide myself over with the EP when I get paid in December. And I think it’s brilliant you’re still making music!

Hey
Thanks for asking. Well, the really good news (which I am pre-empting here, because we will be making an official announcement soon) is that Qkumba Zoo will be releasing a CD called “Letthelightin” in the US early next year through an indie label called Souvenir Records. This CD will be a remastered version of “Butterfly Peepl” with the addition of the tracks from the “N3xt” EP – i.e. a combo of both releases. We will also release this album online. Therefore, I suggest holding off on the EP and waiting for “Letthelightin”. Hope this helps.

That’s brilliant! I can’t wait
You two make awesome music and it’s unlike most out there. It took me awhile to get into some of the other less commercial tracks on “Wake Up & Dream”, but I’m so glad I did. I look forward to a sonic adventure with this new version. I’m a singer/songwriter myself, so if you ever want to collaborate or ask an opinion, you’re more than welcome to send me a message.
Cheers,
~Emily
Hi Emily,
Thanks for your kind words and the offer. Do you have a website with some of your stuff up?
Woah, I really let this site go… I, err, don’t really have anything with my music up, but here’s a sample lyric with no music to it yet:
ONCE UPON AN ANGEL
A beautiful soldier on a battlefield
Fighting for her honour, fighting to be free
A beautiful soul on another battlefield
Fighting for the light, for eternity
There’s not one heart out there without a matching piece
There’s not one soul without a heart
There’s not one mind out there without a matching place
There’s nothing that can drive them apart…
Once upon an angel, the grace of the heavens did lie
Once upon an angel, wings outstretched to the sky
She knew to try, she had to fall to fly
But could she pick herself up and soar again?
A falling start where she could have run
Fighting for her heartache, fighting for her life
A falling star in another universe
Fighting for her soul, for the gift of flight
There’s not one heart out there without a matching piece
There’s not one soul without a heart
There’s not one mind out there without a matching place
There’s nothing that can drive them apart…
And even when the night is falling, and the stars refuse to shine
The blackness surrounds you, and you lose all sense of time
There’s a light of an angel, who’s trying to be so strong
Even in failure, she’s been beautiful all along…
Once upon an angel, the grace of the heavens did lie
Once upon an angel, wings outstretched to the sky
She knew to try, she had to fall to fly
And she could pick herself up and soar again (soar again)
Once upon an angel, the grace of the heavens did lie
Once upon an angel, wings outstretched to the sky
She knew to try, she had to fall to fly
And she could pick herself up and soar again (soar again…)
I hope you enjoy
Now, I must fly myself, to bed. I hope you’re all well and have an awesome New Year!
Cheers,
-Emily
Hi Emily
Great lyrics! Simple yet profound. I look forward to hearing some of your music, so when you’re ready…
